As an independent dealer, you may be wondering how much it would cost to use Autopix to transform your workflow.
Well, Autopix costs nothing for the first three cars.
After that, an independent dealer pays per car: from 89 NOK on Express or 149 NOK on Plus (billed monthly), with no per-seat fees and nothing to buy beyond a smartphone.
So, a single-location dealer sending 35 cars a month on Express Medium pays 4,865 NOK.
That’s the number most pricing pages make you book a demo to hear.
I would rather you had it in the first paragraph, because the real question is not "how much" but "is it worth it for a dealer my size", and you cannot answer that without the figure in front of you.
Picture a Tuesday…
A trade-in lands at eleven. By half past, whoever is free has walked it round with a phone, shot it against the workshop wall with the bins in frame, and uploaded the lot.
The car is live. It’s also the worst-looking car on the page, because the dealer two listings down has every car on the same clean background, same angle, same light.
Nobody at your dealership did anything wrong. The salesperson was fast. The car was clean. The problem is that a forecourt is not a studio, and a phone in different hands on different days produces listings that look like they came from four different businesses.
Buyers notice without knowing what they noticed. They scroll on.
That is what the per-car fee buys: every car through the same guide, onto the same background, with the same logo in the same corner, before the salesperson has finished the paperwork.
Now to what it actually costs…
Prices in Norwegian kroner, excluding VAT.
Plus is Express plus 60 kr per car, at every size. That is the only gap between the two plans, and a later section covers what the 60 kr buys.
Swedish dealers see the same shape in SEK: Express from 99 SEK per car, Plus from 159 SEK, same 60 kr step.
Most software a dealership buys is a flat monthly licence.
The price is the same in a dead February as in a May when you cannot keep stock on the forecourt. Autopix bills per car processed, once a month. Quiet month, small invoice. Busy month, bigger invoice, but you also sold the cars.
For a single-site dealer, this is the detail that matters most!
I’ve watched independents sign up for seat-based tools, use two of the five seats, and pay for the other three for a year because cancelling felt like admitting a mistake.
Per-car pricing removes that trap. A car that sits unsold for a month costs you nothing in photo fees until the next one arrives.
Same app. Same photo guide. Same backgrounds, same onboarding.
The difference is who finishes the picture: software or a person.
Express is fully automated.
You shoot the car in the app, the system edits every frame from end to end, and the finished set is back within minutes. Included on Express:
If your pain is the Tuesday above, Express is the plan I would start on.
Plus adds three things Express does not have:
The trade is time!
Plus standard delivery is next business day. If you need it faster, 12-hour delivery costs twice the standard rate and 3-hour delivery three times, subject to capacity.
The order delivery times page has the details.
Plus suits a dealer selling premium stock, where a human eye on every image is worth 60 kr and a day. It does not suit a dealer whose cars need to be live by the afternoon. Be honest with yourself about which one you are.
The names are misleading. Small, Medium and Large describe how many images you send per car: up to 10, 20 or 60.
A dealer selling three cars a week on Large pays more per car than one selling thirty a week on Small.
Pick your size from your listing standard. Exterior angles, interior, dashboard, boot, a couple of details: 10 runs out fast, as the 21-shot checklist shows.
My view is that most independents belong on Medium from day one, because a 10-image cap pushes you to drop the interior shots buyers scroll to first.
The car interior photography guide covers which of those shots earn their place.
Here is the geeky part…
The per-image cost falls as the cap rises. At full use, Express Small is 8.90 kr per image, Medium 6.95 kr, Large 3.15 kr. If you routinely shoot more than 20 per car, Large is the cheaper plan per image even though it is the dearer plan per car.
Not sure? The three free test orders run on real cars with real output. Send three cars at the image count you actually use, and the answer will be obvious.
Three monthly volumes, Medium size (up to 20 images per car), NOK excluding VAT. Medium is where I expect most independents to land.
Two things go on top if you use them.
A single integration to Billink, Carweb, Drive or Wayke is 199 kr per month, so a Norwegian dealer publishing straight to Billink pays 4,865 plus 199 for 35 cars on Express Medium, or 5,064 kr.
Extended storage is 69 kr per month for 12 months of history, or 249 kr per month for unlimited.
Swap the rate and multiply for any other size. There is no bracket pricing and no published volume tier.
Custom pricing exists, case by case; the FAQ below covers it.
The plans page lists several extras.
None of them are needed to send your first paid order.
Run month one on the per-car rate alone. Learn the workflow. Add the integration in month two if you publish to one of those four platforms.
The integrations page explains what each connection does.
For an independent dealer, what is not charged matters as much as what is.
No per-seat fee. Invite the whole team under one company account. The person who shoots cars on Saturday and the sales manager who approves listings on Monday both log in, and the bill doesn’t move.
This is a big one… No equipment!
Autopix is built around the phone already in your pocket. The app on iOS and Android carries the photo guide, the bounding box, and the smart capture tools. A starter kit also exists with a polarisation lens, vehicle tags, and contact details.
Finally, no lock-in, and cancel any time!
The plan runs to the end of the paid billing period, then switches to pay-as-you-go.
The fair comparison for a one-site dealer is not Autopix against some flat-fee competitor. It’s Autopix against the Tuesday at the top of this article: a phone, a wall, the bins, and listings that look like four different businesses.
Autopix fixes the consistency problem without adding a person to the payroll.
Every car goes through the same guide, lands on the same background, carries the same logo and plate treatment. The car background remover guide walks through what to test before paying for any tool in this category, and the examples page shows finished sets.
At Express Medium, a car that sells for 250,000 kr has cost 139 kr to present. If consistent photos move that car even one day sooner, the plan has paid for itself on the cost of holding stock.
I would rather you tested that on your own cars than took it from me, which is why the first three orders are free.
Start with three free orders on the platform or in the app, send three real cars, and put the output next to your current listings.
Create an account on the web platform or in the mobile app.
The support centre says it takes a few minutes, and you can finish the workspace later.
Once ready, send your three test orders.
On Express, the images are back within minutes, so you see the result in the same shift you started.
Just make sure you spend the free orders deliberately: one car with a difficult colour, one with reflective paint, and one with a busy interior.
Shoot each at the image count you plan to use in practice.
If the Small cap of 10 feels tight on the third car, you have learned something worth 50 kr per car before paying anyone.
Once the free orders are used, pick a plan and size from the plans page in your account. Your first invoice should then read like the table above: cars sent, multiplied by the rate for the plan and size you chose.
A single-location dealer can go from reading this to a paid plan in one working day.
If you run more than one site, the multi-location onboarding guide covers the group setup; the per-car logic is the same for each site.
Try Autopix with three free orders and see what your cars look like on one consistent background before you spend a krone.
